Bang on 12pm there is gorgeous shadow that's thrown across my kitchen wall, and I could not help but use it in my photography today. The mottled pattern really suits the muted tones of the fruits that were about to be blended to a pulp. Banana and Blueberry is a perfect mix for a soya based vegan smoothie and it just so happens that they look good together too.
The way the light refracts through the glass compliments what I would call a 'clean' drink...guilt free in more ways than one. The smoothie is made from bananas, blueberries and SOYA milk.
The key benefits of soya are:
1. high protein content, vitamins, minerals and insoluble fibre
2. good source of protein, B vitamins and minerals
3. Better for the environment
4. No animals were harmed in the process
But even if you choose to drink this with cows milk, it is a nice and simple smoothie that not only looks great but tastes great too.
You can see how easy it is to make with the three step triptych above which I have conveniently put into chronological order for you to feast your eyes on.
This smoothie is best drunk for breakfast as bananas keep you fuller for longer to last until lunch time and blueberries add a gorgeous flavour. Smoothies don't have to be complicated and consist of kale and spinach. Sometimes you can just drink a smoothie that you enjoy so much you have to photograph it.
As always I love to hear your ideas on what to make and photograph!
