Some of you may or may not know that the beginning of this year is a big deal. Not only did I quit my job (I know!) but its the first time I have ever concentrated on my business all day, every day. So you know what it calls for? A huge cup of tea.
James (my partner) and I have received enough tea this Christmas to start a tea shop. Don't worry I'm not dropping the photography to pick up yet another business. But I did think it was quite apt to begin my journey as a full-time freelance photographer photographing the lovely tea we received.
I'm not going to lie, the job I was in before has killed my brain a bit creatively so this photoshoot literally took hours. But heck do I feel good about it. I had time to think about and research my lighting as well as drawing out each shot. Well they do say you put time into the thing you love and hopefully over the next few blog posts you will be able to see that this photography stuff is my passion and I've known nothing else like it in my albeit short life (so far).
The tea featured is a mint tea by the Rare Tea Company and is quite a rich mint tea. It is best brewed for about 2 minutes for optimum TEANESS (yes I just coined a new word, but there really was no other way to describe this lovely drink.)
I hope those of you who read this stay with my through this journey and hopefully see me succeed. And please tell me if you enjoy these photographs and if there's anything you want to see me photograph. I am also available for bookings (with all this free time) so don't hesitate to go to the contact page here.
Until next time!
